When you get to a point where plant medicine work becomes a cornerstone of your life, the relationship you have with a facilitator quickly becomes one of the most integral parts of your world. I had plenty of beautiful experiences in a group setting with plant medicine work…but I quickly became cognizant of the “ceiling” that exists in that kind of setting. In large groups, it’s nearly impossible to get the type of attention and care that I NEEDED pre-ceremony, during the ceremony, and post-ceremony. I have worked with Malcolm Ian Cross twice. Each experience has been nothing short of life-changing. The work begins before even taking medicine. Malcolm and I set up three separate calls in which he helped me narrow my intentions down. He walked me through how the medicine work would take place, as well as answering questions, fears, and clarifications I needed prior to the work starting. When he arrived, he cleansed and cleared the space, infused spiritual music (which definitely eased my nerves as I wanted to be sure this was God-centered), and walked me through the layout of how the evening would take place. During my personal medicine journey, there were many times I cried, laughed, purged, etc. Malcolm never made me feel embarrassed.
